What is dryer drum?

A dryer drum is a component of a clothes dryer that tumbles and dries the clothes. Made of either stainless steel or porcelain, a dryer drum spins with the help of a belt and motor, creating warm air to dry the clothes. Most dryer drums have a capacity of 7-8 cubic feet, though larger drums are also available. Overloading the dryer drum or putting sharp objects in it can cause damage or tears to the drum. Some dryer drums have an interior light, while others offer a reversible door for more convenient loading and unloading of clothes. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the dryer drum can prolong the life of the dryer and prevent any potential safety hazards.
